I am a professional fine art nature photographer, author, speaker and workshop leader. My specialties include creative macro and in-camera Impressionistic, painterly imagery techniques.

I am passionate about photography and view it almost as a form of meditation, allowing both the artist and photographer to slow down, notice and appreciate beauty, and also eliminate all the various distracting elements from one's "viewfinder."

I teach workshops throughout North America and Europe. One of my most popular workshops is held annually in Giverny, France where my students have the unique privilege of photographing in Monet's Garden with private access....no tourists present...for a solid week!

I am looking for someone who shares an equal level of passion and appreciation for the beauty in nature and capturing the essence of that beauty with your camera. You love to travel, use a tripod for most of your shooting, are sensitive and patient, creative and intelligent, and are constantly learning new shooting techniques and refining how you see and capture the world. You might even be interested in working with me as an assistant or teaching partner and are open to mixing business with pleasure!
