Begun self teaching myself Photography this past Christmas 23'. Learning from a few of the best written Creativity, Exposure, Lighting, Composition, portrait, Landscape, and many more books (by Scott Kelby, Bryan Peterson, and Michael Freeman). They really helped me open my eyes to a whole new experience in Photography. As far as Camera's go, my preferences have always gone to Canon Cameras. The durability alone says quality. I decided that the best way to restart was to buy used cameras, getting better quality cameras and lenses at a much more reasonable cost. My beginning camera body was a model 300D Rebel. With 6.3 Megapixels my first time using digital, it offered me some good pictures, but I was looking for more quality and "sharper" photos. I went to the 18mp 7D and the T2i as a backup. I also enjoy my XTI 400D 10.1mp very much.
For film I decided to only shoot black & white, my 2 T90's are working wonders, and I really love the model G also. It is much smaller than the other rebels and its a quick to the eye type of camera.
Decided also to use some thrift store camera finds for Lomography. It really will be fun to experiment.
Don't forget to Micro Adjust your Lenses periodically!!! It will make a huge difference in your auto-focus setup. Every Lens for each camera body. Each should hold at least 20 lens setups.
Purchased my all of my photography books from thrift books dot com and they had a lot of owners manuals for Canon cameras.
